FCAT Test Maker PRO features Reading passages for grades 3 through 10 that are created specifically for Florida students. Passages and test items are created in-house by a team of experienced assessment editors and writers.

FCAT 2.0 Test Item Specifications

All FCAT Test Maker PRO Reading passages and test items are developed to meet and exceed the latest FCAT 2.0 Test Item Specifications and Next Generation Sunshine State Standards.

• Test Items are grade-level appropriate, and assess primarily one benchmark. Other benchmarks are sometimes reflected in item content.
• Item Bank includes all Reading Passage Types found on FCAT exams for grades 3 through 10 (See table).
• Items are selectable by Cognitive Complexity, Lexile, Word Count, Dale Chall, Spache, and more.
• All test items are reviewed for potential bias and community sensitivity.
